In 1971 Soho Photo gallery was established by a group of New York Times photographers. As the only non-profit cooperative photo gallery in New York City, the organization is fully run by its members. Artists who have exhibited at the space include well-known photographers such as Jill Freedman, Ansel Adams and Andre Kertesz.
