Savoir
As sure as day follows night, how we sleep informs how we live. Savoir has spent over a century perfecting the art of comfort, interweaving craft, creativity, and nature. Over that time, they’ve mastered time-honoured techniques and made leaps of innovation. The result is a collection of beds made to an extraordinary standard of luxury. Some things are worth taking time over. Sleep is one of them.
The Savoir story began in 1905 when impresario Richard D’Oyly Carte required a bed luxurious enough to qualify for the rooms of his newly opened Savoy Hotel. Not finding any that were up to his exacting standards, he chose to create his own. Slept on by such luminaries as Winston Churchill, Giacomo Puccini, and Marilyn Monroe, the result is still made today. The spirit of its creation continues to govern Savoir’s approach to every bed it creates and we are delighted to say that the Savoir No 4 bed is now offered in all the accommodations at The Greenwich Hotel.
“Sleep is the secret to our well-being, performance, and vitality, yet too often neglected in our fast-paced and frenetic lives. Sleep is the precious time when our brain and our body can repair from yesterday and prepare for tomorrow. As the pace of life speeds up, being able to slow down has never been more important. Good sleep starts and ends with your sleeping environment and a comfortable bed.”
